Hand picked in the evening, the fruit was transported to the Hunter Valley winery to be chilled and whole-bunch pressed. A flowery, perfumed bouquet leads into a beautifully balanced palate, still as fresh as a daisy.
A complex mix of spice, earth and ripe mulberry fruit integrated well with savoury oak. The palate is medium bodied and fruit driven displaying sweet berry fruit balanced by fine tannins providing great texture and a classically elegant finish.
Only produced in years of exceptional fruit quality, we blend a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz to produce a wine of great depth and solidarity, while retaining balance across the palate and a lingering finish.
