Established in 1997, our 75 acre (30Ha) Carillion vineyard is located on the volcanic slopes of Mt Canobolas at an elevation of 740 - 800m.
The key to this region is the cool to cold climate and high altitude, meaning we enjoy an extended growing season with plentiful sunlight hours.
Red/brown volcanic clay loams on light-medium clays provide the base for growing premium Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc in the whites, with the focus on Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Pinot Noir in the reds. Recent plantings of cult Italian varieties, Verduzzo and Aglianico are showing great results, making unique and intriguing wines.
